Maybe go seach the dlc you're trying to download and see if it says free in it. It is the 12th main installment in the main series and will be released in April 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch. It is being developed by Netherrealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Now idk how that translates to xbox, but i'd say see if you can find a sinilar trend. Mortal Kombat 12 is an upcoming fighting game in the Mortal Kombat series. I just still needed to download it because it was after all dlc content. Just download the core game not any add-ons.

So like when i went into the playstation store and looked up the skin i was supposed to have it would say free because i already had access to it. Go to manage game ( either before or after you have downloaded mk 11). Same thing when i download Kp 1, i had access to those new skins but i had to get them through the download screen. I had this same issue when i got shao kahn, because i had the karacter when i preordered the game, but i didnt underdtsnd that i still had to go to the download menu to download it. alternatively, it may be that it downloaded the basic game, but you still have the other content it just needs to be downloaded. it may be that because you pre-ordered it, you're only getting a basic version of the game now and may not be able to get the extra content till the actual release date. My advice is its either one of two things: Each chapter focuses on a single character from the series (except Chapter 11, with Liu Kang taking the final fight) and contains a combination of fights and extended cutscenes. Select the box for Story content (Standard or 4K), then select Apply changes. The story mode of Mortal Kombat (2011) contains 16 chapters total, telling a cohesive story recounting the events of the first three Mortal Kombat games, with both major and minor changes.
I know nothing about xbox honestly so i reslly cant help you there at all. Some parts of the game may not be downloaded automatically If you’re trying to access Story content in-game on PC and it’s missing, launch the Xbox app, right-click Mortal Kombat 11 from your list of installed games and select Manage. Oh nvm i see you're on xbox, didnt notice it in your pist the first time.
